Gracie's class had a field trip today but due to the cost and not being able to take Luke unless we drove(and it was 3 hours away) we decided to meet up with some friends at the zoo. We don't get there often but always have a great time. As of Tuesday we still were not sure if we were going to be going. It was supposed to rain. Later on Tuesday they changed the forecast and it was supposed to stop by 11. So we decided to go. I met up with Shannon and her kids at the turnpike and then met Gigi and her bunch at the zoo.
In total there were 3 adults, two 5 year old, three 2 year olds, and 2 babies(a one year old and a 6 month old). Call us crazy.
And this is what happens when you try to get a picture of the 5 of them. They find a duck and proceed to chase it.
Again, trying to get a nice picture of 5 out of 7 kids.
And here are the two little boys, Parker and Erik.
TigerCheetahs. These guys were a little close for my liking. And at one point all the kids were up on one of those binoculars things that you pay for. And the cheetahs were just looking at the kids thinking, hmm, Dinner!
These monkeys were so funny. My favorite part of our trip. So we go up to see them outside(as you can see in this picture you can see them outside or inside). So there was a big guy out there and as we get all the kids up to see him he ran off and hid from us. So we venture inside. We go to the big glass windows and again they scurry as fast as they can to get away from humans, you would think they were related to us or something. Every time one would pop out we would go to the windows and they would run away. It was pretty funny.
As you can see in the pictures they are never facing the people. Like they are shy.
Again not looking at us.

Now Gracie and Elizabeth went to stand at the windows. Their backs were facing the window. They turn around and this is what they see looking back at them. It was so funny. The girls ran screaming. If you look carefully at the window shadow you can see Elizabeth running.
