It's a Bielski Thing

Yes, this comes from my side of the family. Gracie and Luke overall don't remind me much of my family. Gracie is a spitting image of BJ including how she sleeps. So the love of olives comes from me and I am thrilled that I could pass something on to them.

Wii

BJ's Christmas gift was a Wii. So here he is with the kids bowling. They are loving it. Gracie got a Hannah Montana game to go with it and I will admit that it is a load of fun.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas.

I told Gracie that we were not going to go down stairs until after 7:00AM. So I think right around 7:01 she walked out of her room. Then we went and woke Luke up. Off to the living room to see if we got presents or coal.

Oh my Oh my. Luke was just not sure at this point what to think.

Opening some stocking stuffers. Gracie got a lot of makeup and Tinkerbell stuff and Luke got a bunch of matchbox cars and firetrucks.

Gracie got a new calendar and was so happy that Santa knew she needed a new one and that we just redid her room into a Tinkerbell room.

Gracie opening her MP3 Player. The one thing that she has said she wanted every time we or Santa has asked her.

Awww, these are from Aunt Kathy, Uncle Jay, Jason, and Emily. Aren't they cute. The kids love them and both have them on their beds.

Daddy got a Wii for Christmas so this was an extra gift for Gracie. It is a Hannah Montana game for the Wii.

We also have some big news, or Luke does. He was so excited getting his new big boy blanket with the firetrucks that we decided to just go with it and put up his bed. He took a good nap in it yesterday and then slept in it last night, too. YEAH. Oh and that was without binkies!!!!

Christmas Eve

Gracie woke up this morning so excited. We have been counting down and finally we get to pull Baby Jesus out and put him in the manger and get him from the Advent Calender. Of course things don't go as planned and with yucky weather it certainly won't go as planned. Ashlie(my sister in law) and her girls were supposed to make a trip in from Ohio. We are happy that she didn't come with the weather. It was really icy and just a mess. Then Gracie wasn't feeling well but I just brushed it off as too much candy(from her gingerbread house). After lunch Mom and Joe came up and we were planning on going to church and then have our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. They came in and we decided to not make the trip back down the mountain in the icy weather. Then about 2:00pm Gracie started throwing up. Needless to say our day didn't turn out like we would have liked but we still had a wonderful night.

We opened presents from Aunt Ann and Uncle Chris and then had some cookies and milk before we were off to bed. We made sure we sprinkled our reindeer food and put out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

Presents in the mail

There is nothing better then getting stuff in the mail or at least if you are a kid. My good friend Christina sent the kids little gifts in the mail and they were so excited to see what they got.

Luke was so thrilled to see a Choo Choo train. And he loves the pirate book.

Gracie got nail polish and nail art. And a gorgeous bracelet with her name on it. She absolutely loves it.

And I got a nice bag with chocolate, yum yum.

Gracie's School Christmas Party

I volunteered to help Miss O'Donnell with the Christmas Party since she wanted to do gingerbread houses with the kids. Of course as soon as we got to school I realized that I forgot my camera. There was another Mom that let me take pictures with her camera(she was video taping) so hopefully I will get those pictures when the kids go back to school.

I had so much fun. All the kids went to the auditorium to sing Christmas Carols but to their surprise Santa came to visit instead. All the Kindergartner's were so excited. They just sat there watching. It was really cute. After Santa's visit the kids went to the cafeteria for a nice brunch. There was so much food and it all smelled so yummy.

Then after brunch Santa came around to all the classrooms to hand out presents. All the kids just stayed in line and just waited their turn to see Santa. It was really too cute. Then after Santa we got down to business and worked on our houses. The kids had so much fun doing this and it was a really cute project for them.

Our second round of snow

Yes, I am courting down to April. I am so tired of the yucky weather already. We have had a few "snowy" days but this is our second big storm. I would say 5-6 inches on the ground with some ice on top of it. But I will admit that I even had a great time playing in it today with the kids. Gracie and I were sledding down the driveway. I would start pulling her and then jump in the sled behind her and try and make it over the hills. Luke was not enjoying the sledding. One face first into the snow and he was done.
