Getting ready for Christmas

After a long and tiring day of Black Friday shopping the kids and I decided to decorate the house. Gracie really had a great time and Luke, well, let's just say he is enjoying making me work extra hard to keep everything where it should be.

Our skinny tree(we got it on sale last year after Christmas and it is much skinnier than we are used to) and yes, it does need some string to help it stay where it needs to be.

Our really sad attempt at Christmas pictures. I have learned that you can't take nice pictures right after Luke wakes up from nap. So hopefully we can try again soon.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday BJ

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY BJ!!!!!!!!!!!

We went down to BJ's Mom's house for Thanksgiving. Jade and all the kids came over as we just looked at Jade and couldn't imagine that she was going to be baking Lillie much longer.

Kim ,Sten, and Alyssa couldn't be down for Thanksgiving so they came earlier in the week. We meet at an indoor playground type of place and let the girls and Luke just run around and then ate some pizza. I think everyone had a wonderful time.

A quick Hello

Gracie and Luke are just saying a quick hello. We have had a few busy weeks that is why a few of the older posts have not been published on time. But these were taken on Saturday they were off to Grammy's for the night. BJ & I had a much needed night away from the kids. They were both very good for Grammy and Pop Pop.

Happy 5th Birthday Elizabeth

Our dear friend Elizabeth turns 5 on November 20th. Today was her birthday party. We all had such a good time. Elizabeth is in the purple 5 shirt, Gracie in the middle, and Sheridan in the floral dress.

Mom's & Aunt Patty's Birthday celebration

So for those that don't know my Mother is a twin. On Wednesday November 12th they celebrated their birthday. So on Friday we got together at Aunt Patty's house to have some cake. We first had some pizza and fruit for supper. Mom started to do the dishes when Gracie told her that it was her birthday and she shouldn't be doing them. So this was the end result.

So I thought I would try and get some nice pictures to possibly use for Christmas Cards. Well I didn't get a great one of Gracie and Luke together so I guess I will have to try again. Here is a sample of what we got. I did save a few that I am not showing so I can get them printed and hand them out.

Visit with Jade

Last Wednesday we went to visit Jade. She is due with her little baby girl on November 30, she is hoping to go much sooner though). We came with gifts, FOOD, so she wouldn't have to worry about cooking a few suppers. I hope she enjoyed them. We took the kids out to lunch and just hung out at her house for a little. I only got a few pictures.

We're having a baby

Well, not me but the kids. They were playing kitchen/babies today while I was off doing other stuff. Luke came out to me with a baby up his shirt and I told BJ that he needed to get the camera and take their picture. After some grubling he obliged.

Our night out

BJ & I were lucky enough to get a night out without the kids. We did a little shopping and then out to dinner. Gracie was not too happy with me when I left but she calmed down right away. Normally she is not like this but she has a little cold so she is not feeling quite right. We got home around 10:30 and I find this note on the table. Every night when BJ works late we call him and the kids do this whole thing for him, it is not our routine and not right if we don't do it.

Mommy, I love you. Scream really loud pinch my hiney and a hug and a kiss at last! to put me back to sleep! And do that to Luke too! Grace

A boy and his train

You can't take a boy away from his train. We bought this today to keep Luke occupied while Mommy was shopping. First he insisted that he needed to get out of the cart and use the floor. Ok, I totally understand the thinking behind this but I don't shop in one place in a store. This was Luke on the way home. Grammy had put the bag and the train next to him and I heard him at one point getting a hold of the bag. Next I turned around and he is fast asleep with the train in hand.

While eating snack(cheetos as you will notice) we were watching Sesame Street. Ernie was signing and dancing so Luke go up and started dancing. It was too funny that I had to share. I was trying to take some pictures without him realizing it but that didn't happen.

OK, not quite the Spa but close enough. Gracie has needed some extra attention this week. I think school is finally catching up to her and she is realizing that school is her life while Mommy and Luke are together at home every day. So Gracie wanted to take me to the spa to get pedicures.
